Mobility & Energy Systems
Our team in the Mobility & Energy Systems business unit is focused on current and future energy projects. Essentially, we design solutions for energy generation and storage and provide customers with charging infrastructures. We install photovoltaic systems, CHP plants and energy storage systems aimed at extending the share of our customers energy generation. For the progressing electrification of mobility, we provide smart charging infrastructures at customer sites. We also consider what might be important for the future energy world and use our expertise in pilot projects to gain further experience.
An essential feature of our offering are additional services such as the intelligent control of energy flows, energy storage and charging points. Great customer experience is ensured through extensive support by mail and phone.
Our team includes project developers, project managers as well as technicians, IT experts and other experts in the back office.
Energy Market Solutions
Welcome to the Energy Market Solutions business unit. We are located in Berlin. Every day we are working on the development and operation of smart electricity products – from our site located between Berlin’s main railway station and the Federal Chancellery. Our electricity products ensure the integration of the energy sectors of electricity, heat and mobility. The core of our work is the development of electricity-based products and solutions for and with new players in the energy industry. We turn their innovative business models into marketable offerings across the entire electricity value chain based on our Enabler Platform. This platform maps efficient and automated support across the entire customer life cycle.
For example, we have developed an energy brand for Stiebel Eltron, an innovative community for energy prosumers for Viessmann, the charging solution “GET CHARGE” for Deutsche Telekom, and are working on our first traction current pilot for our founding company BMW.
In short, we are rarely bored and we all agree on one thing: the true energy transition in a society largely electrified by renewables should and will not fail due to the lack of solutions for the ecologically and economically meaningful integration of renewable energies!
In sales, we work across all business units and are primarily responsible for converting the complexity of energy and e-mobility requirements into simple products and services, which are highly attractive to customers. In doing so, we make a crucial contribution to achieving our corporate goals.
We are the single point of contact for our customers in terms of our services and products for the “most electric world”. Collaborating with a large team of specialists, we develop customized solutions for each market. We are the ear of the market, driving product development fast. Our main task is working out the right solutions for our customers, putting them together based on our product and service modules and selling standardized yet customized solutions.
In short: we are the single point of contact for customers, working hard to fully meet all requirements.
In order to be always close to customers, the Regional Sales Team is decentralized, working across Germany. The team is supported by sales experts for developing specific solutions for customers in the automotive, real estate and energy supply industries. Additionally, Technical Sales is a competent partner for technologically complex projects, contributing vast project experience and technical skills.
Of course, we also live our products – from e-vehicles (hybrid or all-electric vehicles) to charging infrastructures, sustainable heat, storage and electricity solutions.
But, what good are the best of ideas when you can’t get your product out there? All the cogs in a system must mesh to succeed!
That’s why our Central Operations team ensures that all operations processes are running smoothly and every employee has access to great tools.
In addition to a functional and secure IT infrastructure, we also provide dynamic and customer-centric internal processes, mapping them in our operating IT for the purchase of goods and services and the sale of our products.
We ensure that invoices are paid and booked correctly, that our customers provide their financial consideration for the delivered goods and still are satisfied.
We are responsible for ensuring that all our employees receive their salary on time and travel expenses are settled quickly and correctly.
We are expected to make sure that there is always enough money in the account. In this context, we apply the best possible method through excellent planning, transparency, creativity and operational skills.
It’s not always easy, but the less you hear about us, the better we do our job.
Digital Energy Solutions’ Human Resources unit is located in the Munich office.
We are the first contact for applicants and the flagship of the company. From day one, we support candidates in interviews, in negotiating contracts and, in case of hiring, on their first working day.
From that moment, we support our employees in all matters, from the employment contract to employer’s references. We support our colleagues and executives with help and advice and ensure that everyone feels comfortable, solving emerging problems quickly and satisfactorily for everyone. We listen to everyone, act discreetly and to the best of our knowledge.
Not to mention activities such as payroll accounting, administration, personnel planning and development or company pension schemes, which we are also responsible for, so we never get bored!
The tasks in Marketing & Communication range from operational to strategic. Acting as a link between product management and business units and sales, all activities support the successful distribution of our products and solutions. They include the design and development of our website, the preparation of sales documents, participation in trade fairs and expert events for digital lead generation and, of course, ongoing press work and communication with relevant target media.
The strategic work in marketing includes, for example, the leadership and development of the Digital Energy Solutions brand and our positioning as an innovative service provider and provider of integrated solutions.
Administration and Communication
The Administration and Communication team ensures the flow of information: between our team members, with our parent companies, service providers and customers.
We share information about team events, conduct employee surveys, send out our internal newsletter, arrange our team meetings and are responsible for all communication channels, i.e., by phone, email and letters. In addition, we organize everything around our office and ensure that our employees feel comfortable and are always provided with enough office supplies and coffee.
That’s why we’re often out and about – in the office, talking to our colleagues or working at our locations in Berlin, Cologne and Munich. But, we do not always just bustle #busybusy: we are frequently available in our office or at home, working full-on with our headphones.
